The Hudson Valley is known for its award-winning beef, so it’s no surprise that food truck favorites from the area are finalists for some of the best beef dishes in New York State. Handsome Devil Food Truck, Gracie’s Food Truck, and Savory Side Food Truck have three of the top 10 dishes selected as contenders in the Best Beef Food Truck contest hosted by the New York Beef Council.
Ed Randolph, a Hudson Valley native, is the owner and pit master of Handsome Devil Food Truck. Randolph’s BBQ Brisket earned a spot in the top 10 food truck beef dishes, which is just the newest acclaim to add to his list of awards, which includes being the official caterer for the New York Air Show.
You can also find the Gracie Burger of Gracie’s Food Truck on the top 10, and at Sloop Brewing Company in Elizaville. With a chance to grab a beer or even catch live music every Sunday, enjoying a juicy Gracie Burger can be a whole family affair.
Entering its second year of operation, Savory Side Food Truck has made a name for itself by bringing Spanish, American, and Mexican food to the Hudson Valley out of their truck window. They have been voted into the top 10 for their beef empanadas, which are only one of many dishes on their affordable, fresh, and delicious menu. This Coxsackie-based operation is open during the spring and summer, and offers catering during the fall and winter months.
So who has the best beef? You can vote for who will make it into the top 4 best beef trucks, and a panel of Yelp! judges will choose the overall winner. The winner will be announced July 24.
