2014 Elections Poll

Where do you stand on these important issues?

Ed. note: This poll is now closed while we tally the results. Check back in a few weeks, when we publish the results as part of our November election coverage. Thanks for voting!

It’s that time of year again: Election Day is less than six weeks away and the mud-slinging, name calling, political campaigns all around the state are in full swing (we just hope you’re being nicer to your neighbors than the candidates are to each other). Of course the biggie this year is the race for governor: Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino (R) is challenging incumbent Andrew Cuomo (D). While most consider it an uphill climb for Astorino, we know that lots of things can happen before voters head to the polls on November 4. (Remember 1994 when George Pataki, a first-term state senator, surprised everybody by beating Cuomo’s dad to become governor?)

But this is not the only campaign in town. There are several Hudson Valley races that are closely watched, mainly because the results of them could determine who holds the majority in the state senate — the Republicans or the Democrats. We want to hear where you stand on some important issues. Take our brief survey below and we’ll publish the results in our upcoming November issue, along with the rest of our election coverage.
