Three Hudson Valley designers share their favorite paints of the spring season and how to use them effectively in your home.

“I love a good neutral because it surpasses trends, [but] add it in an unexpected way. I added a touch of color  to balance the bold ceiling and neutral walls with stripes close to the ceiling to imitate a crown molding, but in color. The color used is Benjamin Moore Lost Locket.”
— Ana Claudia Schultz, Ana Claudia Design Studio, Inc.

“Pairing classic hues with bright modern colors is the way to freshen up your home. For example, pair stable tried-and-true favorites like Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy or Balboa Mist with First Light and Buxton Blue. Adding color will refresh your space and raise your spirits.  Enjoy the newest color surge.”
— Jennifer Lynn, Jennifer Lynn Interiors

“I have currently been into lavender/lilac/plum colors with a hint of gray to make them a bit more neutral and sophisticated. I love using colors like this as accent walls, and also in my bedding. The colors can go from cozy to crisp depending on how you pair them. Some pretty “grayples” I like to use would be: Sherwin Williams’ Ash Violet or Benjamin Moore’s Hazy Lilac. When you pair them with white they become these cool and refreshing colors like spring blooms; when you pair them with richer colors like deeper aubergine and gray, they become cozy and luxe.”
