A favorite wine festival makes a return, learn how to make some summer salads, and stop by the new Royal Crepes for a sweet treat

For the 21st year, the Bounty of the Hudson Wine & Food Festival returns, this time at host Applewood Winery in Warwick. Expect fresh local produce like cheese, honey, small dishes from area restaurants, and, of course, wine. Check out the Calmbucha Café at the Kingston Farmer’s Market. The New Paltz-based company crafts sweet bubbly organic kombucha tea in small batches, with flavors inspired by locally sourced ingredients, served cold on tap. What will you serve on your next picnic? If it’s just veggies and salad, then make a date to join Chef David Worth of Crossroads Restaurant at HGS Home Chef in Hillsdale and learn how to whip up portable summer fare like olive oil poached fish with parsley pesto and cold roasted lamb with romesco. Union Grove Distillery is the new kid on the block in Arkville. On your next Second Saturday in Beacon, head to recently opened Royal Crepes for a sweet or savory treat. Nutella and coconut is a fave.
