This 32-acre certified organic orchard and cidery is serving up some of the best pizza around, but you’ve got to catch it when you can. On weekends only, from June through October, Westwind Orchard’s master pizzaiolo Chicco prepares glorious wood-fired pies in his al fresco oven. The charred, thin crust is a perfected recipe of Chicco’s nonna, layered with toppings inspired by the farm’s seasonal harvests (like garlic scapes, zucchini, squash blossoms, or tomatoes and basil). They also offer a pie topped with cured meats such as prosciutto, sliced paper-thin. Savor your slices under the covered patio, while your kids play on the Bocce courts or run freely on the grass. With additional draws like live music and family movie night, it will be a meal — and a day — to remember.
