There’s a reason Thrillist recently named Saugerties one of the Catskills’ 11-must visit towns. Actually, there are several dozen. For the time being, we thought we’d say with images what 1,000 words couldn’t possibly capture about this historic destination, which music lovers might identify as the site of Bob Dylan and The Band’s famed “Big Pink” house. (Technically, that’s in the hamlet of West Saugerties, but we digress.) But there are numerous GPS-worthy landmarks, shops, restaurants, boutiques, bars etc. lining downtown’s Main Street and Partition Street, as documented below by Hudson Valley Editor Kate Walsh.
