Want to kill two culinary birds with one baking stone? Take a cooking class to prepare for your Thanksgiving meal at the Ulster BOCES Career and Technical Center in Port Ewen. The school offers a one-day class called “Thanksgiving Breads and Bundts.” Learn to make pumpkin, banana, and sour cream batter, which can be fashioned into loaves and cakes, and take home two breads — plus recipes to whip up in your own kitchen — for your November feast (Nov. 19 from 6-9 p.m. $35, plus a $15 food fee. 845-331-5050).
