Fond farewell: Two Valley restaurants have recently closed their doors for good. An Uptown Kingston eatery, the Frogmore Tavern was known for its Southern-inspired cuisine and two-beer tap line that focused on local craft selections. A dining staple in the city of Poughkeepsie for more than a century, Andy’s Place — a casual family restaurant overlooking the Hudson — has served its last bowl of chili. Made from a family recipe, the spicy concoction was a Best of Hudson Valley winner for as long as the current editors can remember.
New to Greig Farm in Red Hook, the Hudson Valley Farmer’s Market is open seven days a week, year-round, complete with local products galore. Don’t miss out on its yummy breakfast and lunch served daily. After grabbing a bite to eat, head out to the farm for some fresh veggies. www.greigfarm.com
