Now calling a former mill house its home, this restaurant maintains much of the building’s historic flavor, including the original chestnut beams, old wobbly-glass windows, and grain chutes. Many of the Italian recipes on the menu — like lasagne, eggplant parmigiano, and penne alla vodka — were born in the kitchens of the owner’s family. Thoroughly stuffed guests often polish off a satisfying meal with this light, flourless chocolate cake (left) spruced up with lemon zest, raspberry fruit coulis, whipped cream, and a sprig of mint.
