The Valley's Favorite Coffee Spots

We asked and you delivered. Check out this compilation of our region’s favorite java joints.

Now that Hudson Valley residents are headed back into schools and offices, a little caffeinated refreshment — or a place to hole up with WiFi access — may make a lot of sense. So just where in the region are the best community cafes and coffee beverages located? We asked you all for an opinion! Here are just some of your favorite selections:

“Javajo’s in Monroe. They have a great little menu, coffee is delicious, and it’s in an older building with beautiful hardwood floors…they also have a cozy lounge space to work or catch up with friends.” – Randi Brynn Cicalo via Instagram

“Monkey Joe’s in Kingston. The staff is amazing. The coffee is roasted right there. The smell just lifts my spirits every time I go in.” – Angie Miller Barney via Facebook

Babette’s Kitchen in Millbrook: from coffees, teas, house-baked biscuits, and pastries at breakfast, to amazing salads, hot food, and sandwiches at lunch. Everyone is friendly, both the locals and the staff. The atmosphere feels like you are walking into a relative’s kitchen.” – Eric Salas via Facebook

“Peekskill Coffee House, because one of their baristas is a killer latte artist. He painted little baby feet on mine when I was pregnant — I’ll never forget it!” – Kayla Kaplowitz via Instagram

“2 Alices on Broadway in Newburgh. It’s the perfect place for the adult Newburgh Rowing Club members to unwind after a mega-row!!” – Maggie Welling via Instagram

“Nana’s Creative Cafe in Woodstock! The coffee’s always hot — or cold, whatever your fancy — with a variety of roasts. The food is fabulous and the bakery always has interesting and delicious treats. The staff is great, too!” – Laura Kandel via Facebook
