Sparkling Wines to Savor for the Holidays in the Hudson Valley

We quizzed Valley pros about worthy alternatives to Champagne which, let’s face it, can be pretty pricey. Here are delicious, local sparkling wines to help cheer in the New Year.

Whitecliff Vineyards’ Blanc de Blanc ($29.99) made from Chardonnay grapes in the traditional methode champenoise is an excellent choice. The Migliore family has been growing grapes in Gardiner for over 40 years! Another great option is Rose Hill Farm’s pét-nat called Bird Bath ($30) which I love. Low ABV Cliffton Dry ($28 per six pack) is new to the sparkling wine market.
