Pop-up ice cream shop The Dutch Udder has found a permanent home in Troy. Using local dairy products and produce, this Capital Region darling has earned a loyal following for flavors like Pink Velvet Cookie Dough and Chocolate Toasted Coconut served in cool-colored waffle cones. Olive oil and vinegar lovers are sampling like mad at The Blue Olive in Cold Spring, a recently opened branch of the popular Pawling tasting room. Find infused oils of all kinds and pick up some tapenades, jams, and pestos while you’re at it. (125 Main St, Cold Spring; 845.666.7220)

Quaff vinos and sip cider and spirits from around the state while you feast on savories at the Putnam County Wine and Food Fest. Bring the whole family (and some lawn chairs and blankets): There will be crafts and activities for the little ones and live music that appeals to everyone.
