Since November 2009 Millerton’s No. 9 restaurant, tucked away in the back of the Simmons’ Way Village Inn, has become a not-so-secret secret destination for bon vivants who crave fine fare in northern Dutchess County. Co-owned by Chef Tim Cochero and his wife Taryn, the 45-seat eatery offers a creative evolving menu with several consistent winners. The chanterelle mushroom risotto, prepared with Parmesan cheese and truffle oil, is one of the hot spot’s crowd-pleasing appetizers.
