Restaurant Spotlight: Bear Cafe, Woodstock


For more than a quarter of a century the Bear Café has been at the center of Woodstock’s cultural life. Co-owners Peter Cantine and Chef Eric Mann focus is on local ingredients, with a menu that changes weekly. Diners have been known to devour the Cedar River sirloin, and grilled organic king salmon, all while enjoying intimate views of the stream as it winds passed, and the crackle of the handsome fireplace in the dining room.
