This learning and retreat center, part of the Brahma Kumaris spiritual movement, offers classes in Raja Yoga meditation, as well as specialized retreats based around themes like “Love and Forgiveness” and “Peace of Mind.” Participants can learn about and practice different kinds of yoga, utilize different applications of silence. All retreats are run by volunteers and funded on a donation basis.

The Institute has a focus on sustainability, serving its guests vegetarian meals, and its Institute for Sustainable Living has hosted speakers like Jane Goodall and Al Gore at its NYC branch.
