Drunken Mustard Sauce

Great for a hint of tang and spice. It’s perfect with pork, vegetables, beef, and chicken. We pair it with a side dish of Brussels sprouts, bacon, and smoked almonds. —Snooks

Ingredients

  • ½ cup bourbon

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup maple syrup

  • â…“ cup yellow mustard

  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • ¼ cup fresh-squeezed orange juice

  • Pinch of salt and pepper

  • Sriracha, to taste

Directions

  • Pour bourbon into a small saucepan over medium heat and reduce by half. Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Add remaining ingredients and stir until sauce tightens up and coats the back of a spoon, about 4–5 minutes. Yields about 2 cups. Store in refrigerator for up to 2–3 weeks.
