This Beacon Design Studio Is a Craft Beer Marketing Award Winner

In Beacon, Rabe and Co is a small design studio that recently won a Craft Beer Marketing Award for its work with Industrial Arts Brewing Company.

Home to many craft beers and local breweries, the Hudson Valley is always dishing out interesting can art. These designs are for more than just aesthetics, however, as there is typically a lot of thought and creativity that goes into the marketing of each product. To recognize the work of many design studios and marketing agencies in the Hudson Valley and around the world, the Craft Beer Marketing Awards are an annual celebration of the marketing achievements in the global craft beverage industry.

The Craft Beer Marketing Awards honors winners with a Crushie in one of three tier levels. The highest level of honor is the Global Crushie, which is awarded to those who represent excellence in marketing on a global scale, followed by the Platinum Crushie, which is awarded to individuals who demonstrate exceptional performance, and finally the Gold Crushie, which is bestowed upon individuals who exhibit remarkable performance. While the Platinum Crushie represents first-place honor, the Gold Crushie corresponds with second-place.

As a Hudson Valley-based company, Rabe and Co identifies as a small design studio with big ideas. With a team made up of only four members, including Ken Rabe, Liz Birch, Leigh Baumann, and Craig Valentino, the studio has worked with many local and national companies, such as Lagusta’s Luscious, Kitchen and Coffee, Obermeyer, the Indiana Pacers, and more.

Prior to collaborating on the Safety Glasses nonalcoholic brew, Rabe and Co and Industrial Arts Brewing Company had collaborated on other can designs. The brewery’s signature label has an industrial-inspired design that was carried over into the Safety Glasses series on each of the Pilsner, IPA, White, and Citra Spritz nonalcoholic brews.

The Safety Glasses nonalcoholic beer series can be purchased via the Industrial Arts Brewing Company’s website and at beer distributors around the Hudson Valley.
