It’s maple syrup season! Here’s how to make the most of one of the Hudson Valley’s shining ingredients at your next dinner party or family get-together.

Pears With Brie and Maple Syrup

Ingredients:

Crusty bread
Ripe pears
Brie
Maple syrup

Method:

Slice some crusty bread into rounds. Top each one with a slice of ripe pear and a slice of Brie.

Place on a baking sheet in a 350-degree oven for about 10 minutes, until the cheese melts.

Pour maple syrup on top and serve as an appetizer or dessert. Or both.
