This Hudson Valley Donut Collaboration Is Insta-Goals

What happens when Beacon’s Peaceful Provisions and My Zen Den partner up on a donut? The results are simply delicious.

It was a very good day when Peaceful Provisions opened shop in Beacon in April 2021. The Hudson Valley donut business was already beloved for its vegan confections, which it sold at pop-ups and markets throughout the region. Now happily settled in Dutchess County, the gourmet shop has built a reputation for its one-of-a-kind flavors, out-the-door lines, and mouthwateringly tempting Instagram posts.

So, when we heard the sweet spot was partnering with another woman-owned, Beacon-based brand, we were more than a little excited. The business in question is My Zen Den, a.k.a. the relaxation and wellness center founded by leading makeup artist Alexandria Gilleo.  For Gilleo, who also runs the luxury bridal makeup company Bridal By Alexandria, collaborating with Peaceful Provisions presented a chance for both businesses to spotlight what they both do best: donuts and wellness.

“We wanted to partner and create a donut that looks beautiful, tastes delicious, and is aligned with the services we offer at My Zen Den,” Gilleo explains. “Our red light therapy device is known to increase collagen production and reduce inflammation. Why not create a fun, mystical donut to do the same?”

So what does the Peaceful Provisions x My Zen Den donut collab entail? To start, it’s all about good-for-you ingredients that boast a wealth of beauty and skin benefits. As per Peaceful Provisions’ baking process, the donuts are handcrafted and all about high-quality ingredients that are 100-percent vegan and free of hydrogenated oils, trans fats, GMO ingredients, and artificial and synthetic colors and flavorings. Plus, the water used is filtered, purified, alkaline, and antioxidant water.

This limited-edition donut will feature dirty rose chai plant-based collagen booster, rose powder, and blue lotus, all of which are available at My Zen Den. Between the three ingredients, they tout benefits like promoting relaxation, protecting against cellular damage, reducing inflammation, and supporting digestive flow.

Now, while we’re not saying one donut alone is a cure-all, it’s certainly a mighty delicious reason to venture over to Beacon this weekend to sample one of the limited-edition creations. The Peaceful Provisions x My Zen Den donut will be available beginning Friday, March 3 until Sunday, March 5, and costs $4 apiece. As if that’s not sweet enough, each customer who purchases a Zen donut at Peaceful Provisions will receive an exclusive coupon code for 15 percent off a red light and sauna duo session at My Zen Den.
