With its farmhouse tables and cheery, intimate dining room, this 28-seat Kinderhook newcomer feels more like a relative’s house than a restaurant. And all the heavenly, homemade aromas wafting from the kitchen only further that impression: Open at 7 a.m. (except when closed on Wednesdays) to cater to commuters and early birds, it serves breakfast burritos to go as well as traditional omelets complete with all the trimmings (toast, sausage, home fries). Try the signature quinoa dish paired with a savory blend of mushrooms, roasted red peppers, onions, and scrambled eggs and hollandaise. Some special weekend breakfasts come with sauteÌed spinach, a fruit cup, and home fries. Not a single item costs more than $9.95. Don’t say we didn’t warn you: Smashed potatoes seasoned with scallions and cooked on the grill with a crunchy cheddar-cheese coating are seriously addictive. 518-779-1702.
