Now's the Time to Sign Up for Your Local CSA

Ring in the spring season at these upcoming CSA fairs.

Hudson Valley Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Coalition and Hudson River Exchange have joined together to create a series of CSA fairs, connecting Hudson Valley residents with food produced in their own communities. Several upcoming fairs have been announced, featuring 10 or more local farms at each event out of a growing network of 70 farms from 11 counties in the region.

These fairs will provide farm fresh produce, meat, dairy, flowers, and herbs, directly from local, independent farms. They will give residents the chance to purchase high-quality food that fits any budget, and simultaneously support local, small-to-midsize farms. Many farms therefore depend on these fairs to build their customer base within the community.

“As makers and entrepreneurs, farmers provide sustenance and inspiration. They are vital contributors to our community,” said Stella Yoon, Co-Founder of Hudson River Exchange in a released statement. “CSA shifts the way people consume food through a unique buy-in model. We find it especially important to host these fairs as a venue for people to further explore the CSA concept and shop around for different options and ways they can get involved.”

The upcoming CSA Fair dates are as follows:

â— March 18, 2 pm-5 pm – Hudson Area Library, Hudson

â— April 1, 11 am-2 pm – Old Dutch Church, Kingston

â— April 15, 11 am-2 pm – Takk House, Troy
