Burgers in Beacon! Meyer’s Olde Dutch, a new modern-yet-casual burger joint, will be coming to Main Street in Beacon this May. In addition to beef burgers, Meyer’s Olde Dutch will feature chicken and lamb dishes, vegan fare, and eat- in and take- out options.
The new restaurant will be owned and operated by Brian Arnoff, the chef and owner of Kitchen Sink Food & Drink, which recently opened on Main Street in 2015.
“All of our Kitchen Sink philosophies about using local food purveyors will be applied at Meyer’s Olde Dutch, with New York state beef and cheese, and local produce – including from our family micro farm in Hyde Park,” said Arnoff in a released statement. “Our full-service bar will feature a large selection of New York craft beer, locally produced wine, and house-crafted cocktails.”
Meyer’s Olde Dutch will feature burgers with multiple toppings and house-made signature sauces, hand-cut fries, sweet potato fritters and salads. All items will be available via counter service and served in open seating and a back open-air patio.
Arnoff is taking over the space that once housed the popular Poppy’s Burgers and Fries, which closed its doors earlier this year.
Meyer’s Olde Dutch is named after Arnoff’s great-grandfather Meyer, who owned and operated Olde Dutch Grocery across the river in Middletown, NY.
“We look forward to bringing the same passion for food that we’ve provided across the street in our fine dining establishment, but in a more casual atmosphere,” said Arnoff. “We can’t wait for you to check us out – eat in or take out.”
Can’t wait till May? A sneak peak look at the menu will be available via take-out out the side door of the space starting Saturday, April 29, just in time for Beacon Barks, the ninth annual dog parade and street festival.
