Next time you hit the slot machines or play a few rounds of golf at Resorts World—an international hospitality and casino franchise which has locations in the Catskills and the Hudson River Valley region—you can indulge in an IPA crafted for the occasion. This week, Resorts World and Newburgh Brewing Company unveiled a hoppy collaboration: the MonsterPitBoss IPA. While the name is certainly a mouthful, don’t be fooled—this brew goes down nice and smooth.
Even if you’re not typically an IPA drinker, consider taking a gamble on this beer. Coming in at a modest five percent ABV, the MonsterPitBoss “was designed for easy drinking while hitting the tables or slots, or while you’re on the green when the historic Monster Golf Course reopens later this summer,” according to Resorts World. To heighten the hyperlocal feel of this beer release, Kateri Ruebenstahl, a digital art teacher at the Washingtonville Central School District, designed its label, which depicts Newburgh Brewing Company’s signature robot gambling and playing golf.
Resorts World Does Gaming & Golf in the Hudson Valley
Last fall, Resorts World Hudson Valley opened its doors at the Newburgh Mall, complete with 1,200 slots and electronic table games, a sports betting bar, and more in the riverside city. At the casino in the Catskills, visitors can try their luck with over 150 table games like blackjack, craps, and roulette; 1,600 slot machines; and a poker room with the Catskill Mountains providing a picturesque backdrop. Plus, golfers can tee up at the Monster Golf Course, which was rated by Golf Digest as one of our country’s top 100 courses. The par-72 course boasts plenty of “length, extensive bunkering, and a variety of water hazards.”
