For Starters

Start off a meal at Medo with sake, Japanese whiskey, mocktails, or inventive cocktails (like the Sleeping Dragon with Deadwood Bourbon or the Momotaro with Smith and Cross rum). To whet the appetite, enjoy an appetizer or small plate, like the beef tataki, to share. This dish features thinly sliced sirloin that is seared to perfection. Each bite is sure to melt in the mouth and entice the taste buds with toppings of onion, shiso leaf, crispy garlic with soy, lemon, and sesame sauce. It’s the perfect dish to warm up with before diving into an entrée.

Sushi, Ramen, and More

For an entrée, diners can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, although the sushi is the admitted star of the show. The highly skilled sushi chefs at Medo travel from New York City every week to craft superior sushi rolls. Some highlights on the menu include the mango, volcano, Alaskan, and Moon River rolls.

The mango roll is an ideal juxtaposition between spicy and sweet, with spicy crab on the inside and mango outside, finished with an avocado mango sauce. For an instant favorite, the volcano roll features deep-fried white fish and spicy salmon, with scallions, tobiko, and crunchy toppers. The Alaskan roll is a classic, with fresh salmon, cucumber, and avocado. On the heartier side, the Moon River roll tempts with spicy toro and avocado inside, soy paper wrap, red crab meat, mango, four types of tobiko, and quail egg on the side.

Ordering a sushi main is a great way to enjoy various flavors, and each is served with a miso soup or Medo salad. Choose between a maki combo, sushi dinner, sashimi dinner, sushi and sashimi combo for two, and other scrumptious options. The eatery also offers a variety of kitchen mains and ramen. Japanese curry (curry with braised beef brisket served over rice), black cod dashi, and Tokyo ramen are all eye-catching options.

Finish on a Sweet Note

To finish the meal, indulge with one of Medo’s delicious desserts. The Japanese Crème, a vegan house-made custard topped with mango, is sure to delight. The custard is not too sweet and works perfectly with the refreshing sweetness of the mango on top.
