Lil’ Deb’s Oasis—a culinary gem and two-time James Beard award nominee—is transporting their bold, eccentric, delicious dishes from Hudson to your kitchen. Please Wait to be Tasted will hit the shelves on June 21, serving up sensually named chapters like “Lubrication” and “Pillow Talk,” essays, and almost 70 recipes that include popular menu items, twists on Pan-Latin classics, and even top-secret sauces. Throughout the book, you might recognize familiar faces, like chefs/owners Hannah Black and Carla Perez-Gallardo and their longtime server and wine guy Wheeler. We’re especially excited to cook up favorites like ceviche mixto with popcorn, cheese-filled papusas, and Abuela’s flan. You’ll find the pages are zany, very pink, and downright whimsical at times—but hey, we expect nothing less from Lil’ Deb’s.
