Hurricane Irene: New York and Hudson Valley Survival Guide (What to Do When the Power is Out)

A Hudson Valley foodie’s guide to surviving Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene is expected to hit New York’s Hudson Valley by Sunday, with residents doing everything they can to prepare: planning evacuation routes, double-checking batteries and battery-operated radios, buying bottled water, and stocking up on non-perishable food items.
