The city of Newburgh is home to a few food carts and trucks, but the Ixtapa Taco Truck is by far the most favored by residents — don’t be surprised to find a line of hungry visitors during lunchtime. Even famed foodie Anthony Bourdain of the Travel Channel’s No Reservations stopped by for a bite while filming his Hudson Valley episode last year (the truck never made the show’s final cut, but there are photos of Bourdain noshing during an impromptu sidewalk picnic).
Meats are seasoned with tingling spices and each order comes with juicy lime wedges to enhance flavor. Tacos go for just $1.50 each, three for $4, or four for $5, while super burritos (containing guacamole, onions, cilantro, and choice of meat), quesadillas, and tortas (sandwiches) are all $6.
