Ooh la la … lamb!
Yes, just like a traditional burger, it is served up on a bun with red onon and tomato. But there is one big difference with this one. Here, fresh-ground New Zealand lamb is front and center. Some say it is just the right amount of melted goat cheese that makes it tres delicieux; others swear that the distinctive lamb taste complements the crispy frites in a whole new way. Maybe it is just that pretty much everything at this charming, highly regarded French bistro in Millbrook is top notch. But whatever the reason, the lamb burger ($15) is getting an upgrade and moving off of the special list. “People really, really like it,” says chef/owner Herve Bochard, originally from the medieval hill town of Les Baux in the Brittany region of France. “So now I have to offer it all the time.”
