Vegan and vegetarian cuisine have popped up all over the Hudson Valley, and still continue to add flare with new restaurants, and an abundance of food festivals. Well now you’re in luck, there are a few festivals filled with vegan and vegetarian cuisine that are happening around the area.
A handful of the festivals feature Hudson Valley vendors, performers, and artists. Save some room for the main event, a smorgasbord of pickings, or even a cruise buffet.

Albany VegFest 2019
Albany Capital Center (ACC), Albany
September 8, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Albany VegFest is celebrating its 11th year, and this year there are over 100 exhibitors, speakers, and a feast of food. There’s plenty of parking and many options of food and vendors to visit.
Admission is free to all, with a $5 suggested donation. Bring your kids to play in the kid’s zone
Vegan Boat Cruise
Newburgh
September 14, 4-7 p.m.
Ahoy! Sail along the Hudson River and indulge in some vegan cuisine. This three hour-long vegan buffet dinner cruise has live entertainment and a lot of vegan food. Blend Smoothie Bar, Bliss Kitchen, and Simply Delish NY prepares the sweets.
Party Animals Catering’s vegan food spread ranges with a mix flavors — from baked ziti to falafels, and curry. Tickets cost $79.99 and guests can purchase online or in person at Pizza Mia in New Windsor.

Hudson Valley Vegfest 2019

October 19, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and October 20, 12-5 p.m.
Hudson Valley Vegfest is celebrating three years, and is the only zero waste annual food festival in the Hudson Valley. Admission is $10 for the day, and covers presentations, films, cooking demonstrations, and presentations.
From day to night, the fest turns into Kingston Animalia Concert with even more food, music, poetry and theatre from 5-7 p.m.
