This chic, Zagat-rated restaurant offers fine Japanese cuisine, with a hint of Italian influence. Wasabi chef/owner Doug Nguyen creates exquisite dishes such as truffle gyoza (steamed pork dumplings with mushroom and black truffle butter) and tuna pizza (sushi atop a fried flour tortilla). The rock shrimp tempura (pictured at left) is served with a spicy yuzu aïoli, and was chosen as one of our “10 Can’t Miss Dishes” (March 2010).
