Situated on 150 rolling acres, this circa 1911 mansion has recently been renovated as a luxury hotel with two distinct eateries. The Supper Room offers fine dining on Old World favorites, which are given a fresh twist by Chef Mike Foss. Dishes like cider-braised Murray’s organic chicken with roasted apple, onion relish, and potato galette (shown) share the menu with steamship short ribs, pan-seared veal chop, homemade desserts, and daily specials (dinner Thurs.-Sat., jackets preferred; $$$$). At the Frogs End Tavern, diners enjoy lighter fare (fig and Maytag blue cheese pizza, Angus burgers, artichoke chicken salad) next to the wood-burning fireplace (lunch and dinner daily; $-$$).
