Many people, even some adventurous eaters, know only the staples of Indian cuisine, like chicken masala and tandoori dishes — most of which hail from the northern region of the country. But Cinnamon Indian Bistro focuses on meals from other parts of the subcontinent, including the owners’ native Sri Lanka. A smash hit is the bagari jinga — shrimp doused in a garlic, mustard seed, and curry leaf sauce. Patrons also clamor for the Kobbari lamb chops, which are grilled in the tandoor with ginger and garlic and served with coconut sauce.
