Benvenuto’s brick oven pizzeria in Mahopac offers a laid-back atmosphere for families to enjoy a meal (particularly after a soccer game; there’s a field just down the street). The dining room seats 40-50, and the sight of children roaming around is not uncommon or unwelcome. The pies are the standard American kid-friendly variety including BBQ chicken, classic cheese, and grandma-style square pizza. They also take allergies seriously: the staff is extra careful, and they never use peanut oil. Benvenuto’s also hosts occasional kid-centered events such as a Santa visit.
