A year after closing, O’Donoghue’s Tavern in Nyack is back and open for business. A hangout for more than 50 years, the much-missed eatery now sports a fresh coat of paint and a refreshed menu. Sandra Feck of the Embroiderers Guild of America mixes needlework with socializing as she teaches you the ins and outs of 19th-century needlework. Having a hard time snagging a table at the oh-so-popular Le Petit Bistro in Rhinebeck? Sitting down for a meal at this quintessential French bistro will soon be much easier, thanks to an upcoming expansion. By tearing down a few walls; adding more seating; and installing a snazzy, 16-foot bar, the bistro is primed for a face-lift. But not to worry, Le Petit will continue to serve its signature dishes while adding a few new offerings to its salad menu and draft beer selection, and extending its hours.
