4 Drink Recipes to Cure Your Winter Blues

Impress your guests with these cold-weather cocktails.

Melted Snowman Martini

Ingredients:

2 oz vanilla vodka

1 oz cinnamon whiskey

1 oz RumChata

1oz half & half

For garnish: a pinch of powdered sugar and Wilton Snowman Candy

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a tumbler, shake well, and pour into a martini glass. Sprinkle with powdered sugar to create the effect of “snow.” Garnish with a Wilton Snowman Candy.

 


 

Rainbow Cookie Martini

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Three Olives Cake Vodka

1 oz dark creme de cacao

1 oz Disaronno amaretto

1 oz Chambord Liqeur

0.5 oz cream

For garnish: Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup and rainbow cookie

Instructions:

Rim martini glass with chocolate syrup. Add vodka, creme de cacao, amaretto, Chambord, and cream to a tumbler, shake well, and pour into a martini glass. Garnish by placing a rainbow cookie on the edge of the glass.

 


 

MOD Hot Toddy

.25 oz Ancho Reyes Chilli

.5 oz Maple Syrup

1 oz lemon

.75 oz Apple Cider Vinegar

1.5 oz Bourbon

Hot Water

A few shakes of chocolate bitters

Instructions: Combine all ingredients except hot water in a medium size (8 oz) mug and top with hot water.

 


 

Galaxy Lights Lemonade

Ingredients for Magic Ice Cubes:

2 Tbsp dried Butterfly Pea flowers, about 25 – TIP: Butterfly Pea Flowers are available at select health food stores or online. This tea stains just like any other tea or coffee, so be cautious about getting it on fabrics.

2 cups of boiling water

Instructions for Magic Ice Cubes:

Steep Butterfly Pea flowers in 2 cups of boiling water for 4-5 minutes. Watch as the water turns a beautiful shade of sky blue then strain the tea. Pour 2 oz tea in a container and refrigerate until needed. Pour remainder of liquid into an ice cube tray. Freeze until completely solid (overnight).

Simple Syrup: Boil one cup of water and one cup of sugar, and let cool.

Ingredients for Lemonade:

2 oz club soda

2 oz Butterfly Pea tea

1 oz fresh-squeezed lemon juice

1 oz simple syrup

1 oz grenadine, optional

Instructions for Lemonade: In a Highball glass, add 4-6 magic ice cubes. Add simple syrup and club soda. Use a spoon to slowly layer Butterfly Pea tea on top of soda. Finally, add lemon juice in small drops and watch as the tea at the top changes from blue, to purple, to pink. Stir and enjoy.
