Pamela Wiggins, Gardiner
“Millbrook Ridge is part of the Shawangunk Foothills to the Catskills. Driving through Gardiner on Rt 44-55, I noticed the sun rising over the Ridge. Having made my way further on the highway, I stopped at my favorite spot to take Ridge pictures and shot this one”

Week 4 contest winner!
Barbara Japal of Elizaville
“Taken from our deck in Livingston, overlooking Catskill Mountain range Round Top and the Hudson River:
Catskill Mountain view, we have the drama of seeing the weather patterns as they are made on the spot: wind, rain and brilliant and dramatic sunsets, every day something is new and different. The autumn brings rosy warm hues, like looking at the world through rose-colored lenses, very comforting and lively.”

Week 5 contest winner!
Justin Schmidt of Rosendale
Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, New Paltz: “I was out photographing down at the nature sanctuary off Huguenot Street. The parking lot for the sanctuary is right off the rail trail and this certain part of the trail was still so vibrant in yellow even so late into the season. I decided to have my dog Holly sit right in the center of the trail. She blended in perfectly with the colors all around her. I’m always taking pictures of her. She is a great photo subject, especially at this certain location.”
