2023 Keynote Speaker
Maya Kaimal is an award-winning cookbook author who learned the art of Indian cooking from her South Indian father, and from family in Kerala, India. She has written three cookbooks on Indian food. Her first two, Curried Favors: Family Recipes from South India (winner of the Julia Child Award) and Savoring the Spice Coast of India, both highlighted her South Indian roots. Her newest cookbook, Indian Flavor Every Day was published by Clarkson Potter in March 2023.
In 2003, Maya and her husband launched a line of Indian sauces under the brand Maya Kaimal Foods. Her line has expanded to include ready to eat plant-based lentil and chickpea curries, rice and condiments, all designed to closely replicate the home-cooking she was raised on. Her products can be found at over 15,000 stores nationwide including Whole Foods Markets, Sprouts, Target, Safeway-Albertsons and Costco.

Masks are not required, and can be used based on personal preference. Guests and staff may continue to wear masks for a variety of reasons, so please be kind and considerate of others.
