Henry’s at the Farm is a jewel of a restaurant, tucked away in the Hudson Valley’s orchard and wine country, at Buttermilk Falls Inn + Spa. Inventive, seasonal menus feature a fresh selection of large and small plates from casual burgers and hand-cut fries to refined contemporary American cuisine. 

Henry’s kitchen and floor staff prepare and present extraordinary meals in an environment that embraces the spirit of the food. It is at once elegant and rustic, refined yet relaxed, with a field of sculptural wine jug lighting, custom-made wall coverings, and delightful views of Buttermilk’s Swan Pond. 


Monthly Pairing Dinner Events

Henry’s 2018 offerings include spectacular Monthly Pairing Dinners in collaboration with local, and international, wineries, distilleries, brewers and distributors, hosted in the beautiful Buttermilk Barn, or on Buttermilk’s vast, tented reception patio overlooking the majestic Hudson River.


Priorities: Fresh! Local!

At Henry’s, contemporary American cuisine and sublime craft cocktails are only steps away from Buttermilk’s own Millstone Farm. Fresh eggs and honey, from Millstone’s aviary and apiary make their appearance on the menu and in craft cocktails, year-round. In season, fresh produce from both Millstone’s organic kitchen garden and orchard, and from neighboring farms, is delivered to Henry’s inspired kitchen daily, making its way to your table. 

Henry’s works primarily with those who practice organic farming and humane animal husbandry. Cheese, meats, and poultry come from nearby farms such as Coach Farm, Taliaferro Farms, John Fazio Farms, and the seventh generation owned and operated Hepworth Farm.


From Barn-to-Bar

Henry’s signature cocktails take full advantage of the organic herbs, vegetables, and fruits grown right at its own Millstone Farm. “From Barn-to-Bar” examples include the MILLSTONE FARM BEES KNEES, created with locally sourced Warwick Gin, Millstone Farm Honey Simple Syrup, Meyer Lemon, and Awestruck Lavender Cider. 


Go for a Stroll!

In this bucolic setting, Henry’s encourages diners to stroll the grounds of Buttermilk’s 75-acre Hudson River estate before or after dinner. A network of walkways lead to breathtaking views of the Hudson River, flowering gardens, bubbling brooks, enchanting ponds, and the property’s impressive namesake waterfall. 

At Buttermilk’s own Millstone Farm, diners pass organic orchards, a lush kitchen garden, and our Animal Rescue Sanctuary, where a multi-creature family of rescued livestock have made Millstone Farm their home—heritage chickens, peacocks, angora goats, llamas, alpacas, and miniature donkeys!

Henry’s at the Farm is the realization of a dream long-held by Buttermilk Falls Inn + Spa owner Robert Pollock, to establish a dining destination restaurant on the property—one that serves the local community, as well as the inn’s guests and wholeheartedly embraces the locavore movement.
