Of all the industries impacted by the coronavirus outbreak, the food and drink scene might be hurting the most. In the Hudson Valley, restaurants have been forced to get creative with dining deals and delivery or takeout services as per Governor Cuomo’s NYS on Pause mandate. Yet for the craft alcohol producers in the region, the struggle is of a slightly different sort.
With bars and taprooms closed for the time being, the Valley’s beloved breweries, cideries, distilleries, and wineries have adapted to keep locals well-stocked with their favorite drinks. Whether that means offering delivery and pickup or extra incentives like gift card deals and free toilet paper (yes, really), Hudson Valley drink spots are making it work during a time of crisis.
