Reading with Zoë & Friends
June 17 @ 1:00 pm - July 17 @ 6:30 pmFREE
Happy 3 Months to Reading with Zoë & Friends! ❤️ It has been incredibly rewarding and exciting to watch these young readers blossom, grow and shine in their reading. We’ve had a total of 14 readers (including 7 regular readers) since March 17th, 2020. The group of readers have collectively read a total of 78 books. Our regular readers have contributed so much in such little time. We’ve enjoyed seeing all of the readers’ different personalities.
Our open mic readers have been extremely special and a unique part of our reading journey. Thank you Leigha, Julia, Mia, Victoria, Izzy, Stella and Evan for sharing your love of reading to us. We invite others to join us this Summer to continue sharing stories on Reading with Zoë & Friends.
Zoë loves to read and thought Facebook would be a great platform to share her love of reading with others. She would not have predicted or planned everything that’s happened after she created Reading with Zoë & Friends. It has truly been a collective effort and one that we will never forget. It’s been a fun and memorable experience to watch and listen to new and old readers join, and each time a new book has begun and finished. These readings have been a special, consistent and uplifting part of our days in quarantine/ distance learning. We anticipate that things may or may not change for each reader in the summer days, but look forward to sharing what develops from this reading group.
Zoë continues to push her limits and explore new reading adventures that have helped her grow and see the world differently. Reading is a gift that we can all give ourselves daily. It can really help us think clearly and learn more about our potential contributions to the world.
Shayla has shown such positive energy reading books about different ethnicities and continues to enlighten us with the history of national days. Cecelia continues to inspire us on her journey exploring the life of the character, Emily Windsnap who comes from two different worlds and we’ve enjoyed what she’s learned thus far. Kai has shared how we can all change the world by giving the most beautiful heartfelt advice to young readers after reading her inspiring and life changing books.
Belles has shared her witty and wonderful personality and wisdom with her choice of books as the oldest in the group. It has been a joy to have her be part of this reading community. Khloe continues to share her reading is such a loving manner. It’s been refreshing and everyone can really feel her genuine spirit. Ïslam is our newest reader from Morocco and we look forward to getting to know her. Her book choice of Oliver Twist speaks volumes and we are grateful to have her join our reading group.
Thank you readers for being so amazing! 📚
