Mamie Minch and Tamar Korn at TCCC

September 17 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Old school blues and Americana with a modern femme sensitivity!

Mamie Minch is one of the youngest old-school blues guitarists and singers performing today. She sings and plays songs of her own devising that sound like they’ve been stored in her old National guitar for decades.

Tamar Korn’s distinctive yet classic vocal sound flows easily through old-time Americana and Bluegrass all the way to Hot Jazz and Swing.

Together, they create an immensely rich, unique, and diverse universe of sound. Making music together for over ten years in the NY folk and Americana roots music scene, the duo released a self-titled 7” on Jalopy Records in 2019.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at Eventbrite or the door.

This event is part of the annual John Cohen Memorial Music Series and is made possible, in part, through the Putnam Arts Council’s Arts Link Grant Program with public funds provided through the NY State Council on the Arts with support from the Governor’s Office and the NY State Legislature and public funds from Putnam County.
