Hike for Hope
May 1 - May 31Free
My name is Michael Stewart, and along with my good friend Megan Tarantino have come up with this years Hudson Valley “Hike for Hope.”
Exercise and staying physically fit are contributing factors in maintaining our mental well being. An active heart helps create a healthy mind. To that end, we invite you to support our “Hike for Hope”
Both Megan and I have lost very close relatives to us due to suicide and in our healing process this is important to raise awareness for suicide prevention through this event.
Since we’re not sure what tomorrow has in store due to Covid-19. Social distancing has become the new norm and instead of having one big hike in one place for one day in the Hudson Valley, we’re extending it for the entire month of May, starting May 1st through May 31st, which is “Mental Health Awareness Month so everyone can hike safely and still raise awareness.
We have composed a location to hike in each county in the Hudson Valley to hike during the month of May, and of course any other hiking trail that you prefer is always welcome.
