C.A.R.E. WELLNESS GROUP PRESENTS: TALK WITH EXPERTS – STRESS MANAGEMENT with Dr. Michael de Vihil

Many of us experience stress in life, whether this is in the short-term from a project, or long-term stress from a high-pressure career. Stress can be profoundly unpleasant, it can seriously affect our health and our work. However, it is possible to manage stress more effectively, if you use the right tools and techniques.
This Stress Management workshop will give participants simple tools and techniques for addressing any stressful situation, as well as a toolbox of personal skills, including best-practice psychology skills such as emotion-oriented approaches like Cognitive Restructuring, acceptance-oriented approaches such as meditation and physical relaxation, and a model to monitor stress levels. Participants will also understand what changes need to take place in order to reduce stress and get out in front of it to control the stress instead of the stress controlling us.
