The Library is pleased to host a month long exhibit in April of photography by Ed Mekeel. Below is Ed's artist statement: "My interest in subjects to photography knows nobounds, as my current collection shows. I like taking pictures of people in various situations. I love the stories and feelings their faces suggest. I also take close-up or macro photographs. I'm fascinated by the minute details found in nature. The perfect “staycation” for local students age 7-12, Spring Day Camp at the Ashokan Center will take place April 6-10, 2020, 9:30am-3:00pm. Spring Day Camp is a week of outdoor education and exploration as the snow melts and wild plants and animals awaken. Crisis can bring out the best and worst in humanity, so let's nurture the best in ourselves during these trying times. This four week program is an offering to Hudson Valley teens designed to build resiliency, coping skills, and inner peace. Author Event and Library Fundraiser for the Newly Published The Hudson Valley: The First 250 Million Years
Spotty Dog Books & Ale hosts a special author reading and fundraiser for the History Room of the Hudson Area Library Friday, April 10, 7pm.
