Despite a national economy on the brink and mounting global turmoil, the arts are alive and well in our bucolic region. Many theaters and organizations are coming off best-ever seasons in 2010; this summer — with more events, bigger names, and a few well-deserved renovations — an already world-class slate of offerings has been taken to the next level.
