We love nothing more than returning to work after Independence Day weekend. After all, it’s that time of the year our creative director, Bob Supina, enjoys the holiday with his family at the Jersey Shore. (It also means there’s an extra box of salt water taffy or fudge in the kitchen waiting for us.) God bless America!
This time, Bob had an even better treat: The Princess of Poughkeepsie herself, Snooki (well, a photo of her, at least). Here’s an excerpt of his email this morning:
On Saturday night, I hit Seaside Heights with my family. Less than one minute after setting foot on the boardwalk, a parade of police officers on bicycles, teenagers, and a camerawoman marched by, led by Jersey Shore starlets Snooki and Deena. Of course, we joined the crowd.
The diminutive duo rode two amusement rides. Have to give them credit — they went on one particularly gut-wrenching ride three times in a row; I guess to get enough footage for the show. I was able to snap some photos — and even got a wave from Snooki! Dreams do come true.
Later that evening, cast members Pauly D and Ronnie went striding by. My daughter chased after then until they ducked into a bar and security shooed her and the other teenage girls away. All in all, a magical evening!
Hallelujah! Not only did our man see Snooki (quite possibly Marlboro’s most famous pint-sized celebrity to date), but he got her to point — yes, point! — at him. You know you’ve made it the day the poof-sporting Poughkeepsie Princess halts her partying ways to acknowledge you. Congrats, Bob. Now… where’s that taffy?
