This season, the New York City Ballet showcases Peter Martins’ Magic Flute; ballets choreographed by George Balanchine; Jerome Robbins’ tribute to Fred Astaire; and pre-performance discussions and orchestral demonstrations led by Peter Martins and Faycal Karoul, the New York City Ballet’s director and orchestra conductor, respectively.
The deal: The Saratoga Springs Culture Lovers’ Getaway features a four-day, three-night stay with two tickets (orchestra seating) to the New York City Ballet, July 4-17, at SPAC. Also included: dinner for two at one of Saratoga Springs’ acclaimed downtown restaurants, two passes to the National Museum of Dance, two passes to the Museum of Racing, breakfast each morning at the inn, and afternoon beverages. Opera buffs can substitute the ballet performance for two tickets to Opera Saratoga (through July 10 at SPAC).
