Get Lost

Marisa talks Lost; plus, the top five videos dedicated to the story of Oceanic Flight 815

If you’re a fan of Lost, chances are you spent about a million hours watching Lost and Lost-related programs on Sunday, then spent all of yesterday reading blogs and reviews trying to suss out your feelings about the finale. (Or maybe that’s just me.) But, whether you feel positively or negatively about the show’s conclusion, the run-up to the big event and all the hoopla that surrounded it made good fodder for some great Internet videos. (And some not-so-great videos, like the series being reenacted by cats.) I sifted through to bring you my five favorite — the ones I think would be most appreciated by Lost fans. But, be warned: they’re still Internet videos, so the humor can be a little stupid. Without further ado:

Michael Emerson, who plays Ben, the consummate creepy guy, demonstrates how to say everyday phrases in an ominous way (via the MTV Movies Blog).

Jimmy Kimmel can’t believe how much censorship the show ran into — much of it unnecessary.

Want to think about the Lost that could have been? I09 uncovered all of the main characters’ audition tapes. Everyone wanted to be Sawyer, it seems. Even Hurley.

Speaking of auditions: One of my biggest complaints about television is the lack of Muppets on every show ever, so I was pleased to see this reel where a couple of Muppets audition to be Lost‘s smoke monster.

Finally, there was no better fitting tribute to the show’s ending than the montage on Jimmy Kimmel Live, featuring the show’s most romantic scenes (and other, not-so-sweet moments), all set to Debbie Gibson’s “In Your Eyes.”
