Revolutionary Stories with Jonathan Kruk

Swing by Dutchess County’s Americana-inspired brewery for an enchanting evening with master storyteller Jonathan Kruk. Grab a brew and prepare to fall down the rabbit hole of history as the talented tale weaver spins stories about the nation’s revolutionary past.

Blueberry Festival

Canal St & Liberty Square, Ellenville
August 11, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Celebrate the best of blueberry season in Ellenville on Saturday when the town comes together for this finger-licking fest. The party starts early with a blueberry pancake breakfast from 7:30-11 a.m. Throughout the day, attendees can visit the booths of over 175 vendors and bring the kids to the bouncy house and children’s area. Aspiring bakers can show their stuff in the homemade blueberry muffin contest. Win or lose, everyone will feel like a champion blueberry eater by the time 4 p.m rolls around.

 

Early American Tea Party

Orangetown Historical Museum and Archives, Pearl River
August 11, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The little ones will love this charming event, which takes place at the Orangetown Historical Museum. Take the trip there on Saturday to do some early American and colonial crafting like hat making and weaving. Iced tea, lemonade, and cookies will be available for hungry kids (and any accompanying dolls) too.

 

Bad to the Bone Cruise for a Cause

Moroney’s, 833 Union Ave, New Windsor
August 12, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Get ready to ride this Sunday when Angry Orchard and Moroney’s Harley-Davidson partner to benefit the Humane Society of Walden. Non-riders can go directly to Angry Orchard in Walden to say hello to the adorable adoptable dogs and jam out to a performance by the Black Dirt Bandits. Riders, on the other hand, should meet at Moroney’s at 10 a.m. to register for the ride at 11 a.m. Attendees can snack on comfort food from Mama’s and Mike and wood-fired pizza from Amuzae during the day as well.
