Globally-Inspired

Sixty5 on Main, Nyack

Sixty5 on Main is a beautiful new restaurant just steps from the Hudson River in Nyack. Chef Moshe Grundman brings Mediterranean flair to his dishes and sources his ingredients from local markets. The à la carte Sunday Brunch menu includes a mix of traditional brunch dishes such as pancakes, eggs, French toast, and sliders, but what we really enjoy are the dishes inspired by Chef Grundman’s home. The savory Burakas, Middle Eastern hand pies, stuffed with potato or cheese, and served with a boiled egg, pickle, and tahini sauce; Shakshuka, two eggs poached in tomatoes, garlic, and jalapeño pepper, served with pita bread; and Falafel and Hummus served with Israeli Salad and pita points are what make this place unique.

The cocktail menu at Sixty5 on Main is full of surprises. The seasonal Kabocha is made with a base of the namesake Japanese pumpkin, bourbon and orange bitters, and served in a glass rimmed with spiced maple syrup and sugar. The staff flames a pinecone over the drink when it is served; the aroma opens your palate to the cocktail.

Dine in one of the restaurant’s three unique areas: the retro-style “Library” that seats up to 50; the “Cave,” which is more intimate and seats up to 40; and the main dining room and lounge, which accommodates up to 130 guests.
